UK County List to UK Postcodes: 1.8 million postcodes aligned to their relevant counties.  The Royal Mail ceased to recognise County as a valid address field in December 2000 even though many of us still use County names.  The County look up table we offer here has been carefully and painstakingly aligned to postcodes using approved extracts from Ordnance Survey and the Royal Mail. The table provides postcode lookup for the United Kingdom, i.e. it includes Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales and Islands (including Isle of Wight, Anglesey, the Isles of Scilly, the Hebrides, and the island groups of Orkney and Shetland etc.).  Note: This file include the following county types (separately): Formal, Traditional and Administrative.

Important: The County field is no longer supported by the Royal Mail.  Despite this, List-Logic continues to maintain the County to Postcode file as a viable product and believe that this is the only comprehensively maintained file available today.  List-Logic continually strives to counter the decay of the file using all sources at our disposal including Ordnance Survey, National Office of Statistics and 3rd party files.  Currently around 47,000 of the 1.8 million Postcodes have none of the three county types assigned to them.
