Postcodes to Health Authorities

The definitive list of Health Authorities and their Areas along with the postcodes that define the health authority territories.  In total there are 1.8 million UK postcodes with health authority area codes and names appended where applicable.  Administrative and National Health Service authority codes are those used by ONS. Allocation of Local Government health authorities service areas to postcodes is by 'point in polygon' comparison against 'boundary Line' data excluding Northern Ireland. The Health Authority Service Area Code is a three digit character code indicating the National Health Service health authority. Health authority areas for the Isle of Man (IM), Guernsey (GY) and Jersey (JE) are not included, however the list is otherwise very comprehensive. The Health Authority areas by Postcodes table has been accurately derived from Ordnance Survey information, meaning the file accurately aligns over 90% of the UK's Postcodes to the National Health Service's areas and is therefore perfect for planning, territory management and analysis of populations / households etc.
